House is an attempt to situate ourselves in performance, space and art
beyond pedagogy and conveyed or reproduced knowledge. We are a collaborative
initiative between writers, thinkers, artists and designers who want to explore the
dual state of being both art and artist.
Central to our approach is the role of the environment, context, space and city.
In our multifaceted urban context, the role of the body is often reduced to
appearance, transitory use, or a mere representation of a person, leaving its
own subjectivity unexplored. This is the space that House intends to explore.
Our goal is for House to be a platform for experimentation and dialogue, both
informed by the existing modes of artistic discourse and outside then. We aim
to provide a space of interdisciplinary collaboration where artists can discover
what performance means and push its boundaries.
